About JJ’s Diner
JJ’s Diner is a collection of my favourite recipes, memories from my travels, my favourite restaurants and a few handy hints and tips i’ve picked up along the way.
This blog is not a straight forward food blog, it’s not a neatly ordered list of easy-to-follow recipes for the precision chef.
It’s for cooking with the radio on full blast and sauce splattering up the walls.
The aim is to document my adventure into the world of food. It’s the story of my hunt for the next meal that puts a fire in my belly and the food that always leaves me wanting more, the sort of food that I want to phone home and tell mum about.
I’m JJ, I spend most of my time in London but have recently moved to St Albans. It’s dead fancy up here.
When I’m not eating I work in advertising with some wonderful people and with some exciting and innovative clients. I love my work, it’s challenging, it’s fast paced and somehow manages to hold my flickering attention. The internet is always changing and I love helping people tell their stories online.
My Love of Food
I am not a professional chef and if you read my recipes you’ll realise that I’ve made quite a few mistakes along the way.
But that’s why I love to cook, if it doesn’t work out it doesn’t matter, another meal will be along in a few hours to make up for it.
Food can bring people together around a table, a camp fire or even on the side of a road.
My Mum always said that you should always eat-to-live, not live-to-eat.
Sorry Mum, but where’s the fun in that?
Let’s Work Together
If you share my love for food I’d love to hear from you.
Feel free to reach out on social, drop me an email firstname.lastname@example.org or even better pop round and I’ll cook you breakfast!
